Raspberry Pi Camera

You wouldn't think this was a security camera, but it is and in it's simplest form it can be fitted just about anywhere you would like to capture stils or motion video, triggered by an attached motion sensor.

In combination with a NAS, connected either wirelessly or over ethernet to a router you can have a home or business security camera system no-one will even recognise.  With a little extra investment you can have outdoor enclosures to house your Pi Cameras in, and hey-presto you have a fully fledged security serveilance system.

Surveillance

Whether it's in the home, your business premisses or remotely accessed over the internet (remote sensing), for an elderley relative for instance, security cameras can give you real peace of mind. Surveillance cameras are all around us now, on the highstreet and motorways, in shops and venues, and for good reason, it helps keep us protected, and gives us a feeling of security.

Home and Business Surveilance.

These days, many people are understanding the affordability and benefits of having their own security cameras and recording mechanism, either at home or in the office.  Want to discourage shoplifters, or merely check in on your elderly relative?  Modern surveillance equipment is fairly simple to configure, affordable and unobtrusive.  Yes, you can buy them in Currys, but you can also put together your own system using affordable IP cameras and network attached storage.  What's the advantage of having your own system?  Well, the components can be used for many other purposes.  Besides holding your security video, a NAS can also be used to backup your computers, hold your music and video collection and much more.  Your IP cameras, if built on the Raspberry PI can also be multi- functional, providing a cheap and affordable micro computer.
